Freeport, Maine Jewelry Store

Famous for being the home of LL Bean, Freeport, Maine is home to numerous specialty and outlet stores and year-round outdoor activities. Summer months will find Freeport flushed with visitors strolling the streets with Ben and Jerry's ice cream cones and enjoying the ample Maine sunshine. The famed Desert of Maine is located in Freeport, and many love hiking and kayaking from Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park. Numerous family-owned bed and breakfasts and outstanding dining combine to make Freeport a Maine vacation memory few forget.

While the winter certainly slows the tempo in Maine, visitors come to Freeport to enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and to relax in a picturesque setting. Holiday events run all through December and great shopping deals and festive decorations bring ample crowds for a merry season.

Freeport has a rich history of mariners, merchants, and pioneers. Officially “set off” from North Yarmouth in 1789, Freeport grew to comprise four villages that exploded with growth in the 19th century. This era saw booming shipbuilding and manufacturing, and the centennial of 1889 was celebrated with great gusto. Today, all four original villages are part of the Harraseeket Historic District and the active Freeport Historical Society leads tours of the immaculately preserved 19th century Harrington House and Pettengill Farm.

The independent spirit of Maine and small town character are alive and well in modern day Freeport, which is still home to distinctive businesses, with many stores found in historic buildings. We at Earrings and Company have enjoyed our Freeport jewelry store for over 13 years, and are proud to be part of this bold Maine community. We look forward to welcoming you to the very best that Maine has to offer.
